Where do I get an oil filter?

#1 Post by jbomb »

I have been calling around and can't find anyone with an oil filter. Does anyone know where I can get one or who makes them for Cannondale?

If you cant find one you will have to go with the stainless steel version.I think quadshop or any other dealer could set you up with one.

Scotts has the SS version. I think they are around $70. OUCH! i got mine for free from my dealer last year and he said they were only $30 at the time. Oh well, they work very nice. However, it will just take a few more oil changes to get your money out of it.

Just curious... Whom is "R&S" and do they sell other parts for the cannondale? Do you have contact information?

I'm just kidding! I asked the same question at one time I'm sure.

http://www.rsperformance.net/

It's a dealer in Indiana that is arguably the premier Cannondale dealer. They are/were Cannondale's top selling dealer and offer customer support that's phenomenal. Kyle is the man that knows about all there is to know about the 'dale's. They provided the C'dales that C'dale used in their booth at the Indy show. I'm not dissing other dealers(except my local one), but he has a tremendous amount of knowledge and is willing to share. Their web-site ain't bad either! Even though some updates would be nice. They have, or used to have, lots of aftermarket parts, also. They're great to deal with, but you can find a bettter price on some stuff, but i don't think anyone can match the knowledge, and it's worth paying a little more sometimes for access to that!

Also, if you want a paper filter, reply saying so. I'll bet my local dealer has one. If your interested, I'll check and if they do, I'll put you in touch with them. I think they were like $13.
