Front Brake Calipers
What types of brakes work on these dales? I have had a long standing problem after a wreck with my front brakes. The cylinder keeps getting pushed in while riding requiring the brakes to be pumped back up before being able to stop the bike.
Need to replace the caliper in question, but if there is a better route to go as far as calipers go Id like to know. Hunting on ebay now

I will check, I had a guy hit my in the right wheel pretty hard.. Replaced the rotor and the wheel spind free in there, not rubbing on the caliper at all.
When the bike is sitting and the brakes are bled there is positive lever pressure. Once you start riding and grab for the front brakes, they are not there. You have to pump the lever to get them back Then they are okay until the you hit a good bump or something, then gone again.
It's not air in the line either as the brakes are throrughly bled, and air is not being intruduced through a crack that I can tell. If you dont ride the bike you have good front brakes as many times as you want to test them. It's only under riding that they start fade.
PM a price on what you want for spindles calipers and rotors. Both sides.

the metal bracket holding your caliper is probably bent.i have had this happen about 6 times this year.could be the rotor to but it is usually the bracket or the pins the caliper slides on most likely.when you check the rotor make sure you pump the brakes a few times before you spin the wheel to see if it is binding.once it pusches the piston back in it is hard to tell.i been wondering if the dual piston250r caliper will work without to much mod.i barely have enough stopping power with mine.

if the mounting bracket that holds the calipe ron is bent, and I pump up the brakes before spinning the wheel, what will I see? Will the caliper move to grab onto the rotor? How will I tell what the faulty component is?
It's not the rotor, I replaced that already.
Same on the stopping power, it's pretty anemic.
Let me know on the 250r rotor. do the mounting holes line up?
