Throttle body???
Throttle body???
Over my winter break from school I had got an offer from a friend to get my head ported so I had no choice but to drop the engine. To make a long story short I had looked at the throttle body to see is I could experiment by boring it out a little or adapting a GM throttle body since their sensors are identical to ours. When I started to take apart the throttle body I realized that the area where the throttle plate is placed is around two thousands larger than the ends. I was wondering if there is a reason for this? All I could figure out that at full throttle this would slow down the air. Just from a theory point of view, I think the best thing would be to have a large opening that would begin with a clamp on air filter that would taper down through a lager bore throttle body to right before the injectors, so the air would speed up when it entered right before the injectors. Kind of like the set up on a carbureted car. This could give a better mixture but might alter the spray pattern ???????????????.. let me know what you think
