New Tire & wheel questions

#1 Post by banzairx7 »

Im looking into buying new ITP Baja wheels for my quad. I have the stock ones which are all bent up and with the +3 front and rear makes the bike way to wide. I need some help on picking the right rim offset and size.

In the rear I am going to be running GBC MudSharks. These are available in three different rim diameters and I'm not sure which ones I should get. They have 8,9 & 10" rim sizes. All the tire widths are 12" btw. What would be the best rim width/diameter/offset combo for this setup?

I've been running holeshots up front and they seem to work fine. They push a small amount in deep sand but not enough to complain. What size rims/tires and offset should I get for the fronts?

Thanks all!

Are you mostly trail riding? For sure you need 4+1 front wheels. I would go with either 9" or 10" in the rear, depending on tire size. I know some people around here are running 22" tall rear tires with 10" rims, and 23" tall front tires for trail riding.

90% trail riding. The Mudsharks are 21" diameter.

What off set should I be getting for the rears?
