Tire Balls Help

I have known about tireballs for a while and had a little conversation with jeff about them and how to mount them and so on what do you guys think about the I want to hear some other opinions that have used them. Like how much better handling did you get and so on!!!!!!!!!!

I don't own them myself but I had the opportunity to ride Jeff's quad and then ride a cdale with the exact same tires but w/o tireballs. Jeff's quad hooked up a lot better. Now as for the handling....I'm not sure but I assume that Jeff's elkas are set up perfect for him and my buddy's elkas weren't quite dialed in yet. Jeff has a vast knowledge for suspension so his are probably dialed in well.

I wonder what is required for you to get the nitrogen in the tire balls and check the air pressure in them?

For XC if you can afford them they sure seem like they would be the hot ticket.

what the heck are tire balls? someone give me a short term please

They are individual plastic bags that you put inside the tire. They are pretty cool, but expensive. I don't remember how many go in each tire, it depends on size of course. Each bag is inflated to a certain pressure and then you mount the tire back on the rim. Then, if something punctures your tire, it may only break one individual bag and all the rest will still still be inflated.

Tricity is right. If you happen to puncture one, the others actually expand to make up for it. From what I hear, you can hardly even notice if one is punctured. For more info... www.tireballs.com

Wow that is expensive. I am sure you could get an air pressure regulator for a tank that can be plugged in liek that and put a ball needle on it for much less that $150

I just wonder how you determine how many tire balls to put in each tires. Do they send you and set amount or what? I see the tools listed on a seperate page they must be a seperate cost. I wonder if they have a package with the tireballs and tools that you will need to install them. Maybe Jeff will chime in since he has had experience with them. I watched the videos that show you how to prep the tire balls and the wheel and how to install them and inflate them and all that goos stuff on the website very interesting!!!!
