Can I make a connection with the two wires that go to the actual kill switch to complete the circut?

The tether assembly. The connections were fine but the tether button that comes stock on the moto must be shot.
Now I'm almost ready to race.

It's the black one with the little red button on top and you can't get inside it to clean it out.

I should've posted sooner. That's exactly what mine did and I had the same style one last October. Did the same thing you did and now have a new Pingel ready to wire up when the engine's back together. Sorry I missed this earlier. Could've saved you some time.
