OK, these aren't going to be my arms for long so I don't want to just press on them till they pop so I figured I would just ask. First off, I am refering to what is in the end of the arms. Bushing and seal on both sides then in the middle where the grease zerk points to there is a little hiem joint or bearing.
Now, how do you remove that so you can get the arms painted? It looks just pressed in there but after putting a little bit of force on it and not budging I wanted to make sure. We don't need to go replacing these joints since they are good, just want to powder coat them to make them pretty.
Spiral clips? Um, sure didn't see those in there. Are the ends machined with a step in them or it looked like the steps were part of the bearing. I will look again when I get to the house but I didnt' see anything like a clip in there.
Got em. I saw the brass color but didn't see the ity bitty flange. You think we could just replace these with a circlip type versus this stupid little one? Nothink really touches this so it should work fine.
