Timbo's Cranks
Timbo's Cranks
Just thought I'd chime in here. Finally got a chance to ride today and test the limits of the Timbo cranked quad. I got the 450 stroker running pump gas and a stock machined piston. The thing hauls beyond what I expected. It's pulling 14-38 gearing and wanting more.
I can't imagine going w/a higher piston like some of you guys. Seems to have more power than my ATK does and definately has an advantage in the torque department.
I will definately give Tim my applause on this one. Very nice work for starters and some big power gains. If you're needing some crank repair, don't hesitate to send it to him. :head:

I haven't been able to ride my new timbo cranked motor much since I got it put together due to the wet weather, but the first seat of my pants ride was impressive. I can't wait to get 5-6 hours on it so the rings seat and watch the power gains. Only has 1-2 hours right now. Tim is easy to work with and communicated with me very well every step of the way.

Put about an hour and a half on it today at the dunes and got the fuel settings pretty close. the first ride I could only feel the difference in the top end because it popped and sputtered in the low end. Got that issue adjusted out. The second ride I took, I could really start to feel a difference in how the quad pulled all the way around. I am going back out on Sat 23rd to finish the break-in and fine tune the fuel settings.
