The CR250 cap does fit very well. Some one said something once about getting one from an aftermarket company in billet and it didn't work too well. But I have used several with great success.
I got the Tusk cap, too. Aty first it didn't fit. But in looking at it, it was the leading thread on the cap that was the problem. I buzzed off the first part of the leading thread with a Dremel, then it fit OK. It just doesn't screw on as many times as the stock. I pressureized the tank and it held. I also used the stock gas cap rubber seal on the inside.

just found this new gas cap style and it fits better than any cap i've ever tried even the stock one. has a see through center which works pretty good for checking your gas level. just so theres no confusion you can go to your local parts unlimited dealer and the part # is 0703-0047 for gold , they also have silver and black , sorry i can't remember what it cost cause i paid dealer for it through the shop i work for but if you give them that part # they'll let you know what bike it fits...
