Do you have a formula to calculate what spring rate is needed for a given setup? shock angle/rider weight?

No I don't, I have been working on that on for awhile. I'll post it when I come up with a conclusion.

Heys josb...I see some of the Ohlins front springs say 180-48,
and some 180-48 071, and some 180-48 101.....do these mean anything? like soft/med/hard? or hard/harder/hardest or could they all be the same? Anyone out there know?...whose not out riding, that is...

The last number is probably a job or lot number, if I had to guess.

In the parts manual they do list 3 different rates for front and rear Ohlins. Not only angle and leverage but valving and gas pressure also have effect on stiffness.I like to use lightest spring possible and valve to get it right.

Thanks 27. Yeah, I see the different rates thanks, and ATK also shows soft medium hard.....but anybody know which is which?

180-48 soft? 180-48 071 med? 180-48 101 hard? or do I have these backwards? at least 071 is still in middle of range.

We need to confirm this, so we all can know what we are running, with so many different Ohlins out there. I'll call ATK next week and ask them to look at the inventory
