which tires?
I am currently running 18x9.5x8 Turf Tamers on my C-dale. The problem is, is it doesn't seem to hook up so great. Seems like I loose a lot of power in wheelspin. The tires still have a lot of tread left. Some told me that Razr's hook up good. I was thinkin of getting Holeshot MXR's, but a friend who has a YZF450, said that the Holeshots hook up too much for a 4-stroke. Any opinions on which one? The track I mainly race is very loamy off the start. A few laps into the race and the turns get hard-packed and slick.

tires
have you tried different air pressures for the type of track conditions?:
Keep the tamers
They are all i run. 18x11x8....All of your traction is in your rear shock. Adjust your rears shock to find traction. Give it more squat and you will be satisfied.

I run around 8psi. I don't want to go too low in the back, b/c a lot of the jumps are huge and the landings are hard, and less tire pressure would put more stress on the axle and wheels. On the shock, I use an Elka SSD. I recently raised it up b/c of bottoming out on some jumps. Not so much bottoming, just frame hitting the ground. I have 8" of frame clearance right now. If I go with more squat, the frame will hit worse. On the tires again, someone told me that Razr's are good. They wear good too. I figured if the track got hard packed, they wouldn't hook up as good. The only problem w/ the Tamers is they don't seem to have enough "knob" to hook good. I have them grooved so I can hook good off the gate and while it's loamy. Any ideas?

Has anyone used the original ITP MX's on the rear? How do they compare to the new MXR's? I want a good hooking rear tire that won't wear out half way through the season. I'm looking at either Razr MX's or ITP MX's or MXR's. What's all of your experiences with these? Are the new Razr MX's softer than the original 18" Razrs?
