Quadtech hood done
Read some info on here on painting a quadtech hood.
I have had mine sitting on the shelf for about 6 months, but since deciding to run the dale in 05 I took it down and dusted it off.
I personally dont like the looks of it all black. it's just too big so I wanted to apint it, I figured I would need to go to a paint shop and have it done so I put it off.
Saw the thread about painting it yourself and decided to give it a try.
I used 320 grit sand paper to prep, Duplicoat primer and dumplicoat cherry red. (all purchased at Autozone for less than 20 bucks)
from start to finish it took me about 2 hours. I bought the pinstriping at autozone too. Extremely easy to do with pretty good results.
The red is a touch darker than the cdale red. I may use this on my black fenders because the red isnt a perfect match.
Let m,e know what you think

How does the Quad Tech hood bolt on to the existing plastic?
...with bolts...
Is that a trick question?
There are predrilled holes in the hood, you have to trim away material from your stock hood, essetially removing an area around the airfilter. Then line the quadtech hood up and drill your holes through the stock hood and bolt it up.
I can take pics of the process if you like
