400ex rear hubs

#1 Post by guthrie08 »

i have a new rpm axle and have been reading i need 400ex hubs to get it 50 inches. is there a certain model/year or will any stock 400ex hubs work. will these hubs slide right on my rpm axle or will i have to pound them on.

Mine reaches a little over 50" w/the stock hubs. I'm not sure on the longer axles but the shorter stock ones are a pain to put EX ones on. I believe Honda changed the hubs for the 04 models and like doubled the price. But I believe they're all the same in general. I use 03 ones on one of mine and other than some banging to get them on, they worked alright.

your running stock cannondale hubs with your aftermarket axle and it was a little above 50 inches?

It also depends on which offset rims you have and what tires. Mine measures 49" wide with zero offset rims.
